Easy (not so)

Lillian (completely of her own initiative, and unsupervised) was writing clues to post around the house as a kind of clue trail.   She needed the word ‘easy’.  But how to spell it?  We found a sheet with her various try-outs:

Welcome home

When we returned from 2 weeks on North West Island, we found a card sent by our friend Neil but written as if from our bees.  It had a picture of a bee on the front, and inside it said “Welcome home! We missed you!! Your Bee Hives”

Lillian looked disbelieving.  “That’s not from our bees!” she said.

“How do you know?”

“If it was from our bees, the writing would have been eensy-teensy.  And it would have been written in honey, not ink.  Or maybe they would have used their stings to scratch out a message. ”

Can’t argue with that!

Anyway, inspired by the bees’ card, Lillian created her own “Welcome home” cards:

How much I love you

At one point during our recent trip to North West Island, Lillian retreated to our tend and wrote this ode to her pet dog, a soft toy Dalmatian with a red Xmas hat:
