This evening we went to an information evening for the Errol St Nth Melbourne primary school. Adults sat on little chairs in the new library and listened to the principal and some teachers talk about the school.
There was a play area for children, but Lillian wanted to stick close to us. For about half an hour she went back and forth to the stacks, picking up books and “reading” them on my lap.
Then, getting a bit bored, she started untying our shoelaces. We’d tie them up again, and she’d untie them, and… then she figured out she could tie our feet together, tying the laces from one shoe to those of the other. Then she tried tying her own shoes together, then figured out an alternative way to lace up her shoes, then…
The teachers there are certainly going to have a challenge keeping her stimulated.
