Came from the flower garden

Lillian wanted to take a photo with her to school today.  We made a colour copy of the one where Teresa was holding her at the Garden and Flower show (see recent post).

At child care, Effie pasted the photo to a larger sheet along with a set of questions about her background.  First question was “Where were you born?

Lillian’s answer: “in the flowers”.

Later at home we asked her “Where did you come from?” expecting an answer like “from Mummy’s tummy.”

“From the flower garden.”

She seems to have gotten it into her head, from that photo, in which she was just a little baby, that we had found her in the flower garden.
